Quick question

Freshmen that get accepted into FSU for Summer are only accepted for Summer C. Transfers are accepted for Summer A.

Summer A is the full summer semester, from May 14- August 10.
Summer B is the first half of summer, through middle of June (I don’t offhand remember the date, I think it’s like the 16th though)
Summer C is the second half of summer, from the middle of June through the end of the semester.

For Summer A, all housing cares about is that you are attending. The info about Traditions and Ragans are meant for Fall/Spring applicants, not Summer.

Thank you for all of this information guys.

Alright so I’ll go with Ragans or Traditions for Summer. Any chance I can get into Ragans for Fall with a upper 6k priority number? …Traditions?

Or should I just go with Ragans summer, and Rogers fall?

Traditions is pretty much a definite no. Ragans might be a bit of a better shot, but I wouldn’t expect it.

Pasbal, do you know if Jennie Murphee is only girls for the summer?

According to FSU Housing, it is co-ed for the Summer:

Pasbal, I noticed the dorms open on the 10th of May for Summer. You don’t have to be there on that day right? Can you move in a day or two later?

You can move in any time you want, after the opening date. If you so desire, you can move in at 5am the day classes start. There will be staff at the front desk of the halls ready to help you. :)

I applied for Summer Housing today at 8AM and it didn’t give me any options to pick my options for housing this summer.
I received my priority # and it was 7. So I think I’m in an ideal situation, but wondering how can I pick Ragans if they didn’t even give me an option? Or since I’m Summer A I will be put in Ragans anyway?

You’ll either get Ragans or Traditions. If it didn’t ask you what your options were you likely get defaulted to “any available hall” although I would try and make a quick call to Housing and ask just to make sure.

I logged back into the summer housing and it let me edit it. It gave me options of either Ragans or Traditions.
I’m still debating if I want Traditions or Ragans. I still have a little time to make my mind up.

I did the same, got 15

I’m debating this as well. Pasbal any idea if we’d even get into Traditions being transfers?

I got told during the Traditions Open House a few weeks ago that they weren’t expecting Traditions to even fill up over the summer (and it’s only 275 people).

So if you wanted Traditions instead of Ragans, I’d say you’d have a pretty good shot at it. Either way, I’m not sure that you could go wrong with either location.

omg I hope that’s true b/c I saw the layout and photos of the rooms at Traditions & it looks amazing.

I would say that since Housing for summer is separate from the Fall/Spring application, if you were such a low priority number, I would think you would be one of the people to get Traditions.

But then again, I know that for Traditions for summer, they claim that you have to live on campus in the Spring to be given a room there.

So really, I’d say that they may get you in Traditions, but I’d probably expect Ragans.

I personally like Ragans more than Traditions, but I felt like Traditions was extremely tiny. Granted, Ragans is either 3 or 4 bedrooms compared to the 2 in Traditions, and the Ragans common rooms are much bigger, but it seemed to me like Traditions was tiny.

Summer housing assignments are up. Last week I changed my request from Traditions to Ragans. Traditions is just a little bit more expensive, doesn’t seem worth the extra $$.
I got into Ragans and it said more info will be sent through the post. Kind of nervous/excited.
