Quick Scheduling Question

Okay, looking on the course selection sheet, I see two PHI 200's. One is called History of Modern Philosophy, the other is called Political Theory. The Philosophy one has an M001 next to it, the Political Theory one has an M003 next to it. What does this mean, and on my course selection sheet I should put down M003 next to the course number to show that I want the Political Theory class, and not the History of Modern Philosophy class right? (because I really don't want History of Modern Philosophy lol.) (or is it basically the same class with different sections?)

Given that the title on the course guide is “selected topics”, each section is a different topic, apparently…they are different sections of the same class, but essentially, they are not really the same class…just to let you know, Laurence Thomas is supposedly a very good philosophy teacher; my daughter is signed up for 191 with him in the fall…

So, yes, they are different sections; if you want the political class, sign up for that section.

I highly recommend PHI 191. Professor Thomas is probably one of the most down-to-earth, and yet, brilliant professors that I know. I recall one day when the class was canceled and as dorky as it may sound, I was bummed out. I looked forward to going to his class every Tues/Thurs and I truly believe that everyone should take the course before they graduate.

this might sound dumb but can you pick classes now?

shc32: I received my paperwork to fill out classes. It’s due by the 12th of June I believe for me.
