<p>the charters of the organizations (Q&D and SH) normally require you to be a student of cornell for two years to be eligible, this means if you transfer after your freshman year you are fine.</p>
<p>you wont find more out about what they do, they come to you, you cant go to them. good luck.</p>
<p>generally it is the leaders of the various groups on campus who are asked to join - the IFC, the various teams' captains - hockey, football , the publciations, SA etc</p>
