I've signed up for Asian American studies R2b, scandinavian r5b and german r5b (got wailisted for German r5b, #7) for the upcoming summer session. For those of you who took these classes before, any advises on which one I should pick? thx in advance

Scan and German should be easier than Asian American studies. I took German R5A expecting it to be easy / do-able, but had an instructor that was evil… Our class ended up with like 75% p/np that class and only like 1-2 people got an A… But it was just one experience, that might not happen to you.

To be safe, Scandinavian should be safe ;). If you’re good at writing, then take w/e you want, not like it’ll matter :P.

i’ve also signed up for Italian r5b…any recommendations among the four then?

African American Studies R1B. :)

See if you can find the instructors’ reading lists and topics on the departments’ web sites. Or see if the schedule of classes has links to book lists.

Choose the course and instructor whose reading lists and topics are of most interest to you.
