R-Day Scheduling

So Beast... does it last right up until the first day of school? Or is it June 26 to whenever... break and then Re-Organization?

Thanks.
Ahn, Class of 2010

Based on the official calendar:
http://www.dean.usma.edu/sebpublic/mastercalendar/

New Cadets will march back to West Point on August 7. The following week is Reorgy: book and computer issue, getting settled into academic companies, drilling for the A Day parade.

Acceptance Day is August 12, classes will start the following Monday.

No break...the first chance Plebes have to take pass will most likely be Labor Day if they are eligible for pass.

Re-Orgy Week is the worst part of Beast, by the way, hazing wise.

Firsties finally getting to flex their muscles for the first time (at least for those who didn't have Beast detail)...

for the first time?

;-)

They were Yearlings and Cows....

What should we expect from the Firsties? Are we going to need to know how many days till graduation, the meals for the day, etc?

Don't even worry about it now. You'll know during Beast. But yes, you'll have to know all of that and much, much more.

re-orgy week was the worst single week of my life by far. beast was easy, just exhausting.

Why is re-orgy week so bad? Just a lot of hazing or what?

depends on how you define hazing. if you mean getting yelled at non-stop for an entire week, then yes. but once you get through that, and the beginning of first semester, things cool down a bit.

hahhaa, your Team Leader will even take you to the BATHROOM. You have no idea where anything is, and you do your best to avoid upperclassmen, but it's just not going to happen. Everyone's big about greeting then too, not such much now.
