Radio Show Staff Suspended for Tsunami Parody Song

Have you guys heard about this?

http://www.realitytvworld.com/index/articles/story.php?s=1001645

It's ridiculous, it's the most disgusting thing ever. Everyone's hiding the lyrics, but you can find copies to download, and it honestly is the most offensive thing I've ever heard (and that's an understatement).

Just thought I'd make it known, and call for the removal of the people responsible for this.

yea a friend told me about this a couple of days ago, he also said they had a 9/11 song out too..i heard the song and after i heard it i said..meh.. they are protected by the 1st amendment so i couldnt really do anything but i guess some people did

bah, i heard that they donated one week's worth of salary to apologize...but really, like that even starts to cover it.

yeah thats the local rap station where i am (hot 97). i was completely shocked when i heard it- it may be the single most insensitive and incredibly disgusting comedic skit i have ever heard. sick.

They also mocked the death of Aaliyah. It's about time someone lost their job.

I'm actually a big fan of that station, but that morning show was a disgrace. I can't believe the station actually let these people run the song for more than a week before it finally took action. Some people have no decency or common sense.

the copy i found also has the exchange with miss jones and miss info, where miss jones yells at miss info for opting out of the song and saying that she found it offensive. miss jones said "you think you're superior because you're asian, but you're not."

that kind of stuff is harassment. and anti-discrimination laws protect people from that crap. i hope the station gets sued a lot if they don't fire their staff. i mean, opie and anthony got fired for so much less...

"heard that they donated one week's worth of salary to apologize....."...that means crap..they get paid practically nothing..and they know that....ehh..hot 97's morning show is horrible..they are soooooooo boring..they try to be funny..they try to be like z100..they fail miserably..they should just stop talking and play MUSIC

Here is a link where they have some of the lyrics and you can play the song too..i think, my speakers aren't working so i have to try it somewhere else. http://tahiayam.class98.org/

This is disgusting how insensitive can people be? I hope someone sues for a ridiculous sum of money. I was in India during the tsunami, and watching the news was horrible...the devastation was just so so sad.

nm it doesn't play the song, it says "link not found" does someone have the lyrics?

if anyone wants to hear the song with the fight between miss jones and miss info before it, you can pm me or leave your e-mail address and ill try to send you a clip.

Its ridiculous.

i got a copy off limewire...it's not tough to find....but it sort of hurts my ears to listen to it...i mean they talk about "God laughing" at the tsunami....

We had a snow day last week and I listened to the show the morning they announced miss jones was suspended. SOOOOO many people called in and was actually defending her and defending the song(such as :it brings up ratings), i was like wow, yea if the show needs mock other people's sufferings in order to bring up pathetic ratings then it was a pretty low show to begin with. I find that there's a sterotype when it's mocking asians and when its mocking Africans. If a white guy played a song mocking african dying in a diseaster and using racial slurs against them on the radio, he would be fired, not just suspended ,and not many people would defend him with the 'first amendment right' sign.

wow...people actually defended her? This all seems so ridiculous when you think about it. Who in their right mind would make a song mocking a tragedy not even a month after it happened. I know there's the whole first amendment thing and it takes a lot to make me say when free speech crosses the line.

disgusting. absolutely disgusting

I'm not an especially violent person, but I really believe that the people responsible for this song deserve some punishment akin to public stoning in the town square.

its not even mocking other people suffering..its mocking many different races..

There was a time, when the sun was shing bright
So I went down to the beach to catch me a tan
Then the next thing i knew
A wave 20 feet high came and wash your country away
And all at once, you can hear the screaming chinks.
And the no one was save from the wave.
There was africans drowning, little chinaman swept away
You can heard god laughing, swim you b*tches swim.

So now you're screwed, it's the the tsunami,
You better run and kiss your ass awake, go find your mommy
I just saw her float by, a tree right through her head.
And now your children will be sold in child slavery.

(imitating micheal jackson)
"Oh on, please not the kids. I'll pay for all the kids.
all the little Indonesian kid, the little Asian kids, the chinese kids.
the black, oh well, not the Black kids.
the White kids, the Puerto Rican kids.
I love them all. I'll pay for everything.
I promise I won't touch them."

i think thats close to the actual lyrics

yeah, that sounds right...you know that's the first time i've actually seen them written out online, even though i've seen a lot of articles about the song....they should publish the lyrics so everyone can see how ridiculous and disgusting those people are....

disgusting yes, but no worse than that ******* professor who said that the people in the World Trade Centers deserved to die on 9/11

they phail. how stupid can you get? this is the stuff that makes me go insane.
