raise PSAT score by 16 points

My psat score is about 209. I would like to raise it to about 225 by the next month, since i am taking the psat on the oct. 19.

here's my score breakdown

M: 67
CR 67
W 77

i definitely want improve my math score by at least about 11 points (to a 78 at least), my writing score by 2 points (to 19) and reading to above 70.

I haven't been studying for a while, but i plan on resuming my studying. I'll take a SAT practice test every week (from now on).

I have the Black Book, BB, and barrons and princeton books as resources. What parts of these books would you recommend for maximum score increase? How should i prepare most effectively for it? I already know the basics of the PSAT. Is the PSAT harder or easier than the SAT? Currently, I am practicing SAT math problems and practicing CR on a few passages.

How feasible would it be to increase my score by 16 points by next month. I'm looking forward to qualifying as a national merit semifinalist. The score for qualification is approximateyl 221 in my state, CA. Is it a realistic goal?

It is certainly realistic. Try to finish the bluebook and take all the practice tests you can find. Learning some vocab would also help. PSAT math is also very formulaic; the exact same problems appear nearly every test with numbers substituted. I went from a 67 > 76 in the span of about a week in math. The missed question was a careless mistake. Practice tests are the key to improving math and writing.

bump. bump. bump. the psat is in about 3 weeks. what else can i do?
