<p>So I want to raise my SAT score by 430 points. 1570-2000 520 CR& M 530 W----- 750 0CR 700 M and 750 W. How can I do that? I really NEED scholarships. </p>
<p>-Learn English root words, so you can take educational guesses for CR.
-If you truly are having trouble with a question, skip it. SAT takes off points if you get a question wrong, but no points are deducted if you skip a question.
-Buy a SAT study/practice book, keep practicing a mock trial of the SAT once a week/every other week before you retake it again and see how you improve and find out the average score you get.

<p>@CHD2013 I have read majority of them but almost all of them are people who only want 200 or 300 point increase. I’m talking about a 500 point increase-that’s a lot!</p>
<p>I don’t think that’s not true. There are plenty of people on those threads looking for big increases and plenty who achieved it. ANyway, if you really want to improve I think the best plan is to follow the advice of xiggi and/or silverturtle. If you’ve already read that and disagree its your call. There’s also a thread there from someone who raised their score by 790 points I think.</p>
<p>@CHD2013 Thanks. I have read those. If I were to follow their advice, do you think I could do it in 3 months, I’m taking it again Oct 11 and that is my last chance since early admission for my college is Dec. 1</p>
<p>If you do it properly and efficiently then yes you could. No guarantees and these things work differently for everybody, but its worth the time and its probably your best shot. <p>@CHD2013 If I were to memorize 10 vocab words per day, one practice test every sunday, one essay every Saturday, 1 CR,M, and writing section (untimed) from a blue book test every day except sunday, 10 pages of prep from Erica Meltzer’s grammar book, 10 pages of prep from a math preparation book, and 10 pages from CR preparation book, is that enough? This will hopefully be my schedule until Aug 24. School starts Aug 25 and I know I won’t have as much time as I will now rather than during the yr</p>

<p>I think you can do it more efficiently and I’m not really sure how much time you plan to spend per day. You are looking for a huge increase so it will take a lot of work.</p>
