My dad’s girlfriend’s ex-husband, who works/worked at the Prep School (he’s an officer) told her the Prep School was used to “help” current USAFA cadets get up to speed, and not just for prepping cadet candidates for entrance into the Academy. It didn’t make any sense to me, and I’ve never been to the prep school (save the time on I-day last year when we got really, really lost). I guess what I’m asking is if the Prep School is used for helping USAFA cadets in some way or other (behaviorally, etc.), aside from its normal training for cadet candidates? I guess and prep-schoolers could answer this one for me, since it didn’t make any sense to me.

There are no cadets at the Prep School. It is meant for prior enlisted and typically athletes that are not up to par on academics to enter the Academy.

That's what I thought- that the only cadets there are cadre. Thanks.

and cadre are only there during BMT and TX.
