Your mouth and toothbrush are full of germs. In general, you cannot get sick from the germs (viral or bacterial) on your brush. Your immune system takes care of this.
2, 3, 4 minutes are all effective. Quality, gentle brushing is most effective. Replace your brush when the bristles begin to splay. That will differ between people and can be one, two, three months. Six months is the max, but you probably are brushing too infrequently if your brush lasts this long. Same replacement guidelines apply to battery brushes.
Watch yourself in the mirror. If your bristles splay, you are brushing too hard and a battery brush may work better for you.
Don’t boil or put your brush in the dishwasher. Bristles and handles aren’t meant to be exposed to such high heat and can damage your brush. Rinsing your brush after each use is very effective.
Use only a soft or extra-soft brush. Medium and hard can damage your gums. Most people use a brush that is too large; a smaller head makes it easier to reach your upper back teeth on the cheek side.
Store your brush away from your toilet in a drawer or cupboard; preferably upright and NOT covered (to avoid mold). Allow to dry.
In general, you should have your own tube of paste to avoid spreading/sharing germs.
I recently got a new car and it came with a trial to Serius Radio. I’m enjoying it very much, except for one thing: When I’m listening to MSNBC (kind of my default these days) and it goes to a commercial, I usually change the channel and listen to something else for the four or so minutes of commercials. But when I go back to MSNBC, it picks up in the commercial right where I left off, and I’m unable to skip the commercial. I even left the station for another one for eight minutes! the other day and when I came back, I had to listen to the continuation of the commercial. Then, when the next show on MSNBC started, it was already eight minutes passed the hour. So apparently they hold up the real programming in order to cram the commercials into my ears.
My advice is to get rid of Sirrus and use Tune in Radio from your phone to Bluetooth to car for free. I listen to CNN, sports, comedy, Music etc from around the world for free. Pro Hint : French Jazz is awesome ??.
But… When this happens in Tune in I just exit the Application then reenter it and it catches up live. I listen to most stuff “live”. Maybe I am not understanding but it sounds like you might be listening to a Podcast. Is there a way to fast foreword?
I hadn’t heard of Tune In Radio. Thanks. I will google it.
If I’m listening to MSNBC on Sirius Radio on a podcast, I’m not aware of it. But I guess it is a podcast. I always thought it was live until this business with the commercials.
@VeryHappy. You can listen to podcasts or live. You might be just picking the wrong thing. On Tunein free there are commercials but I don’t care… It’s free. I listen to live CNN on my way to work or sports depending on my mood.
I love tune in. It allows me to listen to my Chicago Cubs, even though I live on the west coast. I can listen through my phone or through my smart TV when at home.
Do NOT give Sirius Radio your credit card information. Their billing practices are beyond slimy. My care has tune in and some other stuff that makes listening easy. My DH likes to listen to podcasts at 1.5 speed. Drives me nuts!
Eons ago, when cars weren’t as smart as they are now, Mr. subscribed to Sirius radio. To unsubscribe… it was almost as impossible as getting rid of herpes!
They are pond scum. But when they don’t have your credit card available to charge, you can ultimately negotiate a 6 mo deal for $25 (as long as you remember to cancel it just before it runs out).
I had a meeting last Friday with the global team members, everyone on my team from India, Japan, Belgium, Italy and the US. I was sharing screen via skype. Our meeting was very casual, I was congratulating this guy from India who just had a brand new baby. He told me to open the email he just sent me for pictures of his little boy. I opened the attachment and we saw a very cute baby boy but completely naked! Naked as a no clothes on, and you can see the baby’P right there on the screen.
I panicked, looked at everyone in the room, put the phone on mute, the reaction in the room was mixed, some laughed some just shocked. I closed the screen share and just hung up the conference call.
We dialed back a couple of minutes later and basically I apologized for “technical problem” and we went right into business.
I have been thinking about this over the weekend and still have no idea what to do next. Did I handle the situation properly ? Was it normal to show fully naked baby boy and I was just simply over reacting? What did the guy even think about the timing of the “technical issue?” Should I have a conversation with him next week about the event or just simply not mentioning it at all? I had no time on Friday to talk to anyone from Europe or the US team after the call to see what they thought.
@VaBluebird. Don’t pick the premium version. Worse case you will get that version then it will downgrade to regular version with some commercials. Don’t ever give credit card information or the like unless you want the upgrade.
Also don’t make an account just open the app and go
@Nhatrang My opinion is a naked newborn is no big deal. I’m sure you’ll get different opinions, but I do think you overreacted a bit. I’d let the situation drop and not make a bigger deal about it. In hindsight, I think the appropriate response would have been to comment on how cute the baby is and move on. I’m sure everyone on the call has seen a penis before.
@doschicos thanks! I was hoping that too, that I was just over reacting. I would be okay with just me seeing the picture by myself too. It’s just that it was so publicly shared, we had over 20 people on the call I felt like I needed to stop the image. Poor guy, wonder if I should apologize to him at all?
P.s one of the US guy in the room whispered (as a joke) “was it circumcised?” Which made more people laughed. I tell you it was so strange. Good thing I muted the line.
