^^^ Do you use foil or parchment on the pan before roasting???
I’ve never minded if my pans were discolored (rusting, that’s a different story!) - to me just a sign of a seasoned pan.

I don’t tend to but i suppose I could start using foil or parchment.
And the rusting that disturbs me is when I unload the dishwasher and the pan isn’t quite dry and I pick it up and rust colored water drips off of it. Definitely don’t want to use it again.
Looking up hearing aides coverage from BC/BS. What does’ $2500 is your allowance for every three calendar years’ mean?
If you bought them in April 2017 then when is it up? Jan 2020 or April 2020?
@collage1 I’ve always had that happen with jelly roll type sheet pans, whether they are washed in the dishwasher or by hand.
I wash mostly by hand and air dry. I know the top is dry and I always thought those rusty water drips were coming from the bottom of the pan, where the metal is rolled under to form the edge/handles/carrying part of the pan. I’ve never tried to stop them. I give it a good shake and usually dab at it with a kitchen towel.
Nordicware Natural Aluminum gets accolades from America’s Test Kitchen, Food & Wine and Epicurious. They are inexpensive and don’t rust.
I looked up pans and this one from Rachael Ray looks promising: rachael-ray-trade-cucina-non-stick-2-piece-jelly-roll-crisper-pan-set-in-brown-red/1047541566?keyword=jelly-roll-pan
I never thought you could wash that kind of thing in the dishwasher!
I use foil when roasting vegetables. I never put my pan in the dishwasher.
@rockymtnhigh2 . Our BC plan allows new hearing aids for H every 3 years (36 months). They start the calendar year at time of first service, not by the year only.
Your provider can run a predetermination if there is a question.
Agree that you can get a pre-determination to avoid an unpleasant surprise. Our bcbs policy and my bcbs folks’ policy is every 36 months (not a day sooner) for getting coverage on hearing aids. We have gotten all ours from a Costco. They also will provide ONE replacement pair at no extra charge (all have lost theirs and needed the free replacement pairs).
Thank you for the responses. The Rachel Ray option can only be used to 450 degrees and we broil our veggies sometimes so that won’t work for us but I’ll give the nordic ware an option. I appreciate the help.
H has had three other people we know influenced by him to get them from Costco (in addition to him).
He thinks he may be a micro influencer.
Costco audio can also provide tethers that you attach to your collar and the hearing aid so they don’t get lost. Otherwise you have to purchase tethers yourself separately.
Costco has the jelly roll pans at some point each year. I hand wash mine and they don’t rust.
Mine don’t rust and I do put them in the dw. No hints for you. I do use parchment and I do air dry them after taking them out.
Could the problem be the drying cycle temp is too low? (Or off?) Cuz you’re saying the come out already rusting. Or are you letting them sit in the dw, once done, for too long?
I use a lot of parchment paper.
Why am I getting political ads on this site? I thought it was a politics free zone.
I don’t think the CC overlords can control what google ads could possibly pop up…
On the left hand side of my CC page, it this has flashing ads “Trump is on a roll!” and follow up with tax information. Does anyone else have the same thing?
