You would need to eat a cup of cottage cheese to get 25 grams of protein.
You could also do like a turkey sausage/cheese or egg “sandwich” using the bagel thins or even just wrapped in lettuce if you don’t want the bread carbs.

Make that toast Ezekiel bread and up the protein level.
^^^ delicious bread.
I have 2 scrambled eggs 2-3 times a week.
Other days I have a smoothie made with spinach, banana, and whatever fruit I have that sounds good and some skim milk. I sometimes add a half serving of a protein powder or a tablespoon of peanut butter.
I save the peanut butter on toast for the days I am running late and am in a hurry. I am trying to avoid eating bread and I am like you, it makes my whole morning just different.
I do sometimes have a couple slices of turkey bacon. Not often, just for a change.
Love Ezekiel bread, the low sodium.
No breakfast for me (intermittent fasting - don’t eat before noon).
@MaryBarbara58 – I think if I did that, I’d have to eat 3000 calories between noon and midnight to make up for missing breakfast.
ETA: Cottage cheese is a fabulous food but I can’t stand the texture. I’ve tried – really tried. I even put it in the blender once to eliminate the texture issue, and then I couldn’t stand the taste. Hmmm – I wonder if I put a ton of jam on top of it. Worth a shot.
(Of course, then it’s pretty much the same thing as my yogurt + jam breakfast, so maybe it’s not worth the effort.)
@VeryHappy - would farmers’ cheese work better for you texture-wise? It is the stuff that is used to stuff blintzes.
How about a German style breakfast - some cheese and ham. You see this a lot in Europe.
I have a Siggi’s yogurt and a banana most days, and I also have 2 skim milk lattes, usually before I eat.
Oatmeal with 1/4 tsp cinnamon/sugar mix, 1/4 cup slivered almonds, 1/2 c blueberries. 1 or 2 mandarin oranges. 1 cup almond milk. If I’m not working or going to Pilates I eat one peanut granola bar, almond milk, 1 orange.
Can’t help with the breakfast questions because I don’t eat it–start eating about noon each day.
My question is about the new ‘no change’ fees for recent airline bookings. What I’ve yet to see definitively answered is whether you can use the dollar amount of the cancelled reservation for any flights in the next 12 months or only for the same itinerary. I’m specifically interested in AA, UAL and Delta. Further, I’m guessing not but I’m wondering if the funds are transferable as in, could we book a ticket in one of our kid’s names rather than our own (original ticket holder)?
Can’t say about those airlines, but Alaska allows you to deposit “Alaska $$” into your account. You can use the funds to buy any ticket on Alaska for any pax - as long as it is used within the 12-month window. I love that!
I’m trying to get rid of something on Craigslist, under Free Stuff. I’ve received an email via Craigslist from someone who’s interested. I’ve replied to the email but he hasn’t replied back. I know Craigslist people can be sketchy, but does anyone know if and how the person receives the email I sent back? Does it go to the email address he has on file with Craigslist?
Be careful… Is all I can say. Have someone home with you. Believe it or not there are Bots that answer ads also. If you don’t have good communication then strike them from your list.
Oh, I know all that. I couldn’t be more cautious. But this has happened twice now with this particular listing in the last 24 hours. I just want to make sure I’m not supposed to respond in some other manner.
@VeryHappy: Regarding responding in some other manner to expressions of interest on Craigslist:
No, there is no other manner in which you can respond to someone unless they have included a cellphone number in their response to your ad, and asked that you contact them via phone or text. (I will not do this; I have chosen to disregard such persons as I will not submit my phone number in that manner, through that forum.)
Yes, it goes to their email. They should get it right away. Perhaps they are just flaking on you. It happens.
Consider using freecycle to give stuff away.
I’ve posted the item on both Freecycle and Craigslist. I’ve only heard from Craigslist people, though in the past I’ve been very successful on Freecycle. So far I’ve heard from three people – one of whom wanted something that wasn’t included with the item – and the remaining two have flaked.
