I used this in my house after ripping out the 50 year old nasty wall to wall shag carpeting, including the stuff in the very damp (80% relative humidity) basement.
Not sure if this fits this thread. Invited recently to thanksgiving in Texas (only connection H has with living relatives). We are planning on getting a booster in November. I am fairly certain, but you never know, that a good amount of people are not vaccinated. The invitation does not at all mention COVID, cdc, masks, outdoors, vaccinated, etc. so the invitation is like it’s 2019. We are very much mask and vaccination people. The trip involves 2 day drive in RV. What would you do?
Are you concerned about the relatives not being vaxxed? If so, I wouldn’t go. Otherwise, I wouldn’t worry at all about the trip – two days in an RV and you’ll be completely safe.
Can you ask the host about the vaccine status of the other guests? That would inform my decision very much.
You mention that “a good amount” of people are probably not vaccinated. For me, that’s the kicker. You’re not just avoiding one person or social distancing with one person but the whole party is a moving target. I think it also depends how you feel about protecting those who are unvaccinated. Some people feel “they are on their own with that choice” - I don’t generally feel that way especially if they are family - I’m mad at them but still love them!
Asking is also a good idea - you may not be the only one to ask.
Good point I may not be the only one to ask. I think we just would feel really uncomfortable asking, since this is a group that may not think COVID is a big thing. I did come up with and idea last night, ask for face time?
Google duo? Facebook messenger video? zoom? Lots of options. These days saying “facetime” is probably a generic suggestion of a video chat, akin to xerox, kleenex, etc.
But there definitely are people out there who think every single person with a cell phone has an iphone. In my work this past week, I encountered it once with a client and once with a fellow therapist. Of course there are other platforms.
I tried using retin-A a couple of years ago, but it kept getting into my eyes and making them very puffy, so I stopped.
I’ve started again recently, and at first I had a concentration that didn’t run into my eyes.
Now they’ve suggested I go to a stronger dose or whatever, and it’s very thin. Even if I put on my eye cream and wait a few minutes, by morning the retin-A seems to be slightly irritating my eyes/is making them puffy. Any suggestions? I actually like the thinner version for application, because a little goes a long ways, but I will ask them if there are other versions that are thicker and/or if they have other suggestions when I go to dermatologist early next month.
I blend my Retin A with Obagi’s “ Blender” product (per my dermatologist’s recommendation).
I sometimes get red irritated eyes in the morning, but honestly, I just use some Visine drops and don’t worry about it. I need Retin A bc even in my early 50’s I’m STILL getting acne periodically if I fail to use Retin A regularly.
Retin A makes my eyelids very red and flaky even if I am careful to avoid the whole eye area. It seems to migrate during the night. I found I can avoid this problem if I first apply a protective barrier of something like Vaseline or Aquaphor on my eyes. Then I use RetinA on the rest of my face followed with night cream.
New question. I am staying in a new addition at D’s and there is a stairway to the bathroom at night that at the turn of the corner is too dark. If I put on the light it is way too bright.
I’m looking for a portable solution to light the turn in the stairs. So far a phone light works well. But wondered if any one has another. Don’t want to permanently attach anything. No plug nearby. I did think about a battery powered tiny holiday light that maybe would stay on the step. Any ideas?
