Rank Boston Area Prep Schools: Hardest to Get Into?

Any info on yield and waitlist movement for this year? Wondering if more families will decide to stay with LPS now that they are opening up again.

Sorry but no information.

Happy - I couldn’t agree more with your description of how things work at ISL schools. My experience is completely in line with what you are describing. Your son / daughter either has what I would call “most favored nation” status or he or she doesn’t. It does not mean they can’t apply to a certain school they are interested in, it just means that they won’t receive the “push” from the school. In my experience it makes all the difference in the world. The ISL schools have symbiotic relationships with most every top college / university in the country. If you get the “push” you are getting in, if you don’t it’s a crapshoot at best.

If she’s not sporty, I would avoid Dexter.

Thayer used to have a reputation of being the dumb kid’s Milton, but it’s done an amazing job with their academics and art. Everyone I know who goes there loves it
I would pick them over Dana Hall, personally.

Thayer still has that reputation and I’d say it’s also sporty like dexter.
