Rank: Duke, Dartmouth, Brown

(yes, they are all good schools, and I'm sure someone will say don't bother ranking them, doesn't matter, etc. I'm interested in hearing what people have so say on this anyway)

Rank for Prestige:

Rank for **Overall Quality of Education/b:

Thanks. Feel free to explain why, if you want. My guess is that the second one will be have more varied responses... we shall see.

Prestige:
1.Dartmouth
2.Brown
3.Duke

Overall:

3.Brown

Prestige (coming from MO)
Duke
Dartmouth
Brown

Overall:
Duke
Brown
Dartmouth

Prestige (from LA)
1. Brown
2. Dartmouth
3. Duke (I just had a friend asked me, is Duke a good school? lol)

Overall
1. Brown
2. Dartmouth
3. Duke

Prestige:

Prestige (from TX):
1. Duke
2. Brown
3. Dartmouth

Overall
1. Dartmouth
2. Duke
3. Brown

However, if I could pick any to go to, I'd choose Brown.

Personal preference:
1. Dartmouth
2. (but close) Brown
23. Dupont (oh, I mean Duke)

Daderoo, that's not very nice. Dartmouth and Animal House, eh?

Prestige:
Duke
Brown
Dartmouth

This is from NC, where everyone knows Duke, a few know Brown, and nobody knows Dartmouth.

Quality of Education:
Duke
Dartmouth
Brown

i don't think anyone can rank educational quality since no one has been to all 3. and each school is unique! so can't really compare.

Prestige: CHECK USNEWS, i think Duke is pretty high up there
and then just pick whichever suits you the most :D

Anybody want to place JHU, Chicago, Rice, Nortwestern or WUStL is relation to these three?

quality of education:

prestige:

dartmouth

duke

this is comming from the Northeast (NY)

According to the 2006 ranking by US NEWS, Duke ranks the highest among these three institutions, and at the same time Duke also ranks #5 overall in the nation (right after UPENN and before stanford)

This would be an interesting board if we all just agreed that US News is god. NOT.

over-rated IMO. US News should not be used for exact rankings ... i'm sure duke deserves to be top-15, but i hardly believe duke and Penn deserve to be ranked higher than Stanford and MIT.

Revealed Preference:
3 Stanford
5 Mit
7 Brown
10 Dartmouth
12 Penn
19 Duke

kind of a pointless thread, btw

no two peoples lists that I could see at quick glance are the same, so what is to be learned here? not much

Daderoo where did you get that ranking? or was it your own making?

If you've seen the ranking done by Princeton and numerous other sources, Duke ranks among the top five.

prestige:
brown
dartmouth
duke

overall:
dartmouth
brown
duke
