<p>I heard there’s a “Stern Curve” but I do not know the details of it. I believe only 20% of the students in each class can receive an A</p>
<p>Finance is definitely the most popular major at Stern…70% of the students chose it as their major (including me)</p>
<p>It definitely means that it’s the most competitive</p>
<p>IB recruiters will most often take students with finance backgrounds because they are generally more competitive anyway and have been introduced to certain types of material that other majors do not. Theoretically, if you’re serious about being an IBanker, corporate analyst, etc, it makes most sense to have a BS in finance because it means your actually interested in the line of work and can handle the material.</p>
