Rank the Ivy Leagues

When looking at acceptance rate, they should put both of these schools together.
It is obvious that Columbia is trying to make its acceptance rate lower than it seems to be.
For instance, if Duke only posted acceptance rate for Trinity College and not Pratt School of Engineering- Duke's acceptance rate would seem lower too.
That's the problem here.

Yea, U.S News is lame. I like the rankings I've made for colleges a lot better. :p

But I have (Wash U=Brown)>Cornell for various reasons, Wash U may not have the "Ivy prestige" but it definitely has worked really hard (besides fudging numbers) to become a better school. People usually greatly enjoy their experience at Wash U- I think one thing Wash U is doing in particular is handing out a lot of merit scholarships to get a lot of top students. A pre-frosh I was hosting last year turned down Duke for Wash U because he was getting a full-tuition scholarship there and I have a friend who turned down a half-tuition (I think..) scholarship from Wash U to go to Duke but he said he was very impressed with Wash U.

percentage wise:

Harvard: 9%
Yale: 10%
Princeton: 10%
Columbia: 11% (CC and FU)
Brown: 14%
Dartmouth: 15%
UPenn: 16%
Cornell: 21%

Standard wise (imo):

HYP
Columbia
UPenn
Brown, Dartmouth
Cornell

Preference:

Harvard
Yale/Princeton
Columbia
Cornell
UPenn
Dartmouth
Brown

Aren't there websites where the OP could've found this on their own?

For UPenn, doesn't it depend on what major you're applying for or something?
Like, isn't it really hard to get into the business school?

Why does everyone always bash Cornell? LOL

i dont even know haha...probably because it's such a horrible academic institution. I mean terrible, really.

Obviously. I was asking for your opinion rather than US News' or the Princeton Review's.

Selectivity:

Yale
Princeton
Harvard
Brown
Dartmouth
Columbia
Penn
Cornell

Undergrad Academics:

Princeton
Yale
Dartmouth
Columbia
Brown
Harvard
Penn
Cornell

rofl what's your definition of horrible? This definitely depends on majors. According to everything I've researched, Cornell is way better than all the Ivies cept HP for physics. I'm also pretty sure for anything agriculture related its better though I might be wrong. Anyway, my point is as far as admissions go, you can just check statistics to see which is harder by rates and average test scores, but you can't really list which is better without knowing better at what.

hmm, i dont know much about cornell, except that their high admit rate is just mainly due to the fact that theyre able to accommodate a lot more students that the rest of the ivys.

and yeah, from what i see cornell doesnt appear to be that bad, but i know nothing.

I posted a ranking earlier, but on preference I would go

Brown
Penn
Dartmouth
Princeton
Harvard
Yale
Cornell
Columbia

Hmmm...
Where is the Fu School of Eng. and Applied Sciences listed in USN&WR?
Should it be? If it doesn't justify its own listing somewhere or other, shouldn't it be included in Columbia's profile?
Another beef. All the Barnard parents and most students posting here say that for all intents and purposes, they go to Columbia, since the two schools are so integrated. Why doesn't Columbia incorporate their Barnard students in their numbers?
Wash U is justifiably outed for numbers manipulation. Columbia is as big a perp.

Here are the separate entities listed by College Board, which assigns separate I.D. numbers to each college it thinks is a distinct college.

College Search - Columbia University - Columbia - SAT®, AP®, CLEP®

College Search - Barnard College - SAT®, AP®, CLEP®

A search on "Columbia" only turns up an entry for Columbia University (no separate units shown), and a search on Barnard turns up a profile that doesn't indicate any particular relationship with Columbia University.
