Rank these colleges according to academics

Just out of curiosity, what order would you rank these colleges in terms of academics?
I'm thinking English/Political Science/ Pre-law types of programs, but overall academics works too.

University of Michigan, Syracuse University, NYU, Barnard College, and Tufts University.

I don't know much about a few of these. I might have to do some more research on them, but I just wanted to know what the CC community thought.

Barnard, NYU, Michigan and Tufts are all excellent, but in very different ways. If you like the LAC concept, Barnard is excellent. If you prefer the large public university with school spirit, you can’t beat Michigan. If you like a very urban university, NYU is perfect. And if you like the mid-sized private university in the suburbs, Tufts is a great option. I would not worry about overall academic quality as I am fairly certainly that all four are highly regarded by law school admissions offices. Syracuse is also good, but not at the same level as the other four.

Isn’t it weird how they are all so different? I know people that went to my high school that attend each of these universities. I guess different people have different preferences.

Anyone else? Rank these in terms of overall academics Please!!

Michigan
Tufts
Barnard
NYU
Syracuse
