<p>I'm wondering how you guys rank departments. Personally, I tend to use the quantitative sorts of measures based on publishing.</p>
<p>undergrad or grad programs? US News undergrad Eng and Bus, US News Grad School rankings, Gourman Report, Rugg's recommendations, number and proportion of graduates in that major, NRC faculty publications, faculty productivity index, accomplishments of graduates, number of graduates getting into grad school or getting good job placement, overall rep of school...and so on</p>
