Ranking UCSD colleges

it’s so cute to see all of you overanalyzing these college rankings. :)

(proud revelle alum that i am, i still ranked muir as #1 for my little sister’s application)

^This **** will define the rest of your life. Don’t deny it.

So I sent an email to UC and asked them if I could change how I ranked the colleges; they never responded but I checked and now it says: Muir, Marshall, Warren, Sixth, Revelle, Roosevelt.

Just an irrelevant update.

Anyone here choosing UCSD over UCLA or Berkeley (If you got accepted to all)

Yes, most likely.

I applied to Berkeley out of curiosity, but I will be going to UCSD regardless.

Lets say on my application I put Revelle first and Muir second. If I get accepted into UCSD at Revelle, could I make a request to get switched into Muir, or must I stick out a year in Revelle first?

I realize that as a theatre major, while I do want to be well rounded, I want to choose how well rounded I become. Also, I think it’d be much easier to double major at Muir than at Revelle. Thoughts?

^It’s VERY unlikely that you would be able to switch and definitely not after your first year. You have to finish the writing sequence before you can even request to switch where you will inevitably be rejected.

I’m planning to major in Management Science with a second degree in either Math or CS. How do my college choices look?

Muir

Warren

Marshall

Revelle (way too many science classes)

ERC (way too many humanities classes, and I really hate humanities classes [aside from econ.])

Sixth College (no interest in art)

For a transfer, which college is the easiest to transfer into?

Let me know how this ranking for a transfer student sounds, English major. I’m also a non-trad (older student). So if there’s any advantage or disadvantage for me, let me know…

1.Marshall
2.Muir
3.Roosevelt
4.6th
5.Warren
6.Revelle

How do the GEs work for transfer students? Do the IGETC requirements replace requirements or do we apply them?
