Ranking your choices

Do the partner schools see your rankings or are they blind? One of my son's top choices is a QB partner, he has been talking to them regularly and they probably think it is his first choice. It might be if it were through the regular decision making process next spring, but in QB it would be 4th or 5th. If they saw that, they might hold it against him either in QB decision, or regular decision if he isn't matched with any school through QB.

OP, the partner schools have NO idea of students rankings. They simply get the applications of the students that have ranked them. They then decide if they would like to offer a match to that student and tell QB. Then QB runs all applicants that the partner colleges offered a match to through an algorithm and that determines who is matched to who. Finally, the student will be told if they were matched on Dec. 1st. If they are not matched but deferred to RD, any school still will not know where they were ranked by the student during the match process.

Thanks! That makes all the difference.
