Is it worth living in a RAP for your first year? I'm going to be a nursing major and I'm not sure if I want to live with just Nursing students. I know that its only your floor, but I feel like the majority of my friends would just be Nursing students then. I don't know if it for me or not, I know I want to live in Southwest. I would love to hear from a Nursing student who lived in a RAP and one who didn't. Thank you for any info you can give!!!

I have the exact same question for engineering… what are the benefits and negatives to living in RAPs?

So I am neither a nursing or engineering major, but I am in a health sciences RAP with two nurses. I would definitely say check out a RAP because the people you live with are in a lot of your classes so its easy to just run down the hall to ask about the answers to the homework or something. Yes, the majority of your first friends will be from your RAP but you make tons of friends in RSOs and your classes, so you aren’t just limited to your RAP. Also, sometimes if the RAP doesn’t fill out your entire floor, non-RAP people fill the space and you become friends with them too. I would whole heartedly suggest a RAP!

Thank you :)
