State universities in California do not use race and ethnicity in admissions due to [Proposition 209](1996 California Proposition 209 - Wikipedia).

Indeed, if San Diego State is like all of the other CSUs, it does admissions by [CSU eligibility index](<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU), which is just a GPA and test score formula.

If someone else with higher grades and test scores got rejected in the same year, s/he probably applied to a more popular major with a higher admission threshold than your major.

Boy, you kids are quick! Much quicker than people on other forums…
However, I did start a thread that could have brought on lively discussion; sue22, you must admit that.
There are problems implicit in the President’s Executive Order that must be addressed at once. Where else better to address the problems than on this forum? Agree? Disagree?

Sorry, 2112. I foresaw this developing into a nasty racially tinged thread, particularly because you posed as an AA student with atrocious spelling and grammar. Tsk, tsk.

If you’d like to start a thread debating the order on its merits I’m sure you can find a better way to do it.

Closing this thread:

Discussions of AA belong only on the Race FAQ sticky thread at the top of this forum.

OP deleted.
