Slow down, HAVE SOME FUN.

embarrassing

^ hahaha. so, so true. I was searching for words, and I came up blank.

You seem to have everything planned down to the officer position you're going to have in your respective EC's -- pretty interesting. Good luck following your high school blue prints, and be warned that if you're like virtually every teenage guy or girl, your whims change in as fast as a heartbeat; you'll find your future resume shifting shape almost constantly. Lots of people in the "virtually every teenager" category get into the Ivies without having to plan out every minutia of their academic careers, or even at all.

Maybe what your guidance counselor meant by "starting early" was doing well in rigorous courses and finding things that interest you academically and personally. You really have to take your future predictions of your education with a grain of salt, because no one can assess anything about you until you actually -do- them, and chances are you won't follow this list nearly as much as you hope.

actually...blahh1111 our conselar said we have to plan out evry E.C. and classes that we are planning to take.......even APs she also said what GPA we expect....and wat colleges we are thinking of......so she expects us to plan out all four years.......thanks for the advice!

your counselor should be shot in the foot. it's important to think about some of these things ahead of time but to plan the minute details is ridiculous. concentrate on school and your ECs, enjoy life, and extracurricularly do what you like to do and not what will pad your resume. don't be afraid to try different stuff. come back here at the end of junior year. good luck to you

You may know better than I, but doesn't the AP French Literature test test a higher lever of French knowledge than does the AP French Language/Conversation test? I would think you'd take French language junior year and literature senior year, but a very impressive schedule and list of EC's. Good luck.

I agree with shizz entirely... absolutely no one who just got out of 8th grade could possible know very much that your counselor is trying to make them predict.
