Ranked 65 out of 870 students (so not in the top five percent)

I’m not sure what is being asked.

Having 12+ AP classes is generally considered a rigorous courseload. This is especially true since all five core academic areas are included and the the subjects are balanced.

However, we don’t know the context of your high school. Only your GC can determine what constitutes a “Most Rigorous” schedule. At some elite private schools, this schedule might be a standard load. At some pretentious high schools, AP classes are “dumbed down” and few students take or pass the AP exams. Do the 64 students ranked above you have similar course loads?

Another possible red flag is that you have taken seven classes every year, but only six in your senior year - and one of these is independent study with another a repeat. Were the other years overloaded schedules? Is senior year a slack-off schedule?

Not all the students ahead of me have such schedules, at my school AP and Honors have the same weight on the GPA. The first three years I took zero hour.

But even if other kids are not in as high level math, on the rankings it wouldn’t show that.

Your course schedule rigor is really more dependent on what is typical for your high school. Do all kids at your school take so many AP classes (forget who is “ahead” of you – just in general)? At my daughter’s, for example, the school limits juniors to no more than 3 and doesn’t even offer any of the AP history courses… another high school a couple miles away only offers a total of 5 AP courses TOTAL to their student body.

But how the hell did you survive your junior year with 7 AP classes anyway??? But since we are already in October, and I doubt you can drop or make a course change at this point, your question may be a moot point and the answers may just stress you out more. The key at this point is to work hard and try and ensure that you get the best grades you can in the classes you are already enrolled in. Focus on yourself and not what other kids are doing, do the best you can, and it should all turn out well.

O.O I thought my schedule was good. I thought I was the only one insane enough to take AP Physics and AP Chem during the same year.

Why are you even asking? I can hear your thoughts saying, “Oh, man, I took that class too! Oh man, this schedule is so awesome. People envy my mad skills” as you wrote this. …Which I totally understand because I was pretty proud of my schedule too XD My advice to you is to focus less on your schedule and more on getting the best grades possible in the courses you masochistically signed up for.

Not exactly sure what you are asking but from what I can conclude
You schedule seems to be pretty rigorous but of course it also depends on the competitiveness of your HS

@Cori813‌ Your schedule is good. I don’t think my schedule is “so awesome”, it just happens to be that I go to a large high school where some kids take Calculus as freshmen or sophomores. I wasn’t the only one taking 7 APs at my school and if others can do it I thought why not?

7 AP’s in one year?? how much hw did u get?

A substantial amount, i lost alot of sleep over it and I’m hoping I did well (waiting for AP scores). You have to keep in mind though that I didn’t do any sports/music/many clubs.

Also I didn’t take the AP spanish test this year, I’m waiting until next year.
