I just took a practice SAT with absolutely no prep.

I failed. I am a failure. I can't even look at myself in the mirror.

well obviously you have no life....why would you even take a practice test after the SAT? Are you kidnapped by the Princeton review teachers? Are you in a room with a mirror and 23 practice tests straight from real tests? If not, then you suck. Go apply at mcDonalds. You must suck at life or something. Just supporting your pessemism. You're welcome

Thanks man, I am actually going through hell right now. just being honest.

you can still take it again after some prep. it's good to take one and get scared, then you study a lot and get a much better score. come on, it's better than those people who travel to another country to take the test and come back and find themselves getting a 1500.

what was your score? :(

ArtofMind - what was your score? Chill and take a deep breadth. Now evaluate your strengths and weaknesses. CC has lots of great tips and recommendations that will help you. Remember, the October SAT is 4 months away - plenty of time.

the SAT isn't everything you know...

What was your score? it's probably not as bad as you think it is and everyone does really bad without studying. just put in some work over the summer and take a lot of practice tests and you'll be fine.

I rather not say, I seriously need some work. What was your scores? (out of 2400)

Unless your score was less than 1600 or 1500, you don't have anything to worry about. And even then, it can be fixed!

I know how you feel.
When I first took my practice SAT my score was like 1500's...

But after 2 months of prep now I score around 2100's~2200's.

I know this is a cheesy saying but
"anything is possible when you set your mind to it".

I'm sure you're going through a lot of things right now, and the bad SAT
score is just adding to it.

If you think by scoring higher on the SAT your life will be hella better,
then maybe it'd be 'fun' to concentrate majorly on SAT this summer?

Well put simply...
Cheer up :) your score will improve after prep ^_^

hi, you are not a failure! just like you said that you were not prepared. I suggest that you take it again this time prepared and you'll see the difference. You'll see yourself in the mirror and smile.YOU CAN MAKE IT! GOOD LUCK

Wow, thanks guys. I am a bit worried about myself actualy, I am rather the pessimistic skeptic procrastinator. My dimwitted parents signed me up for an SAT program that is highly funded by the county. The dunces actually caused me to miss the first day... Today is the second week, rather my first. Hope I actually learn something...

Don't worry....seriously. When i took my first practice test at a tutoring center my score was a 1780.....after about 2.5 months of working...and 2 more full practice tests i scored a 2040. Im hoping for a 2100 on the June Sat.
So don't freak out. Just work at it. Do as many questions as you can find!!!!! familiarity is the key to the SAT

What's the big deal...it's a practice SAT...

if you don't improve, you should take the ACT.

ArtOfMind_21, what is the course you are taking called? And the correct term for the test is Preliminary SAT.
