haha thanks, that calms me a LITTLE

also, just to show you guys how unpredictable admissions are, i was waitlisted at swat and vassar but in at haverford, wesleyan ... and berkeley. as pomona's acceptance rate is generally lower than swat's, i'd thought i'd be a gonner here... but goes to show ya'

Cecil... where are you from? Does it take rejections longer than acceptances?

Were rejections sent through priority mail also?

i wouldn't think so, but since people have been getting rejections as well as acceptences, i don't think you should be too concerned.

Just got my acceptance letter today. I live in San Diego, only a few hours away from Claremont.. so don't be uberanxious. It's just a few more days; as compared to a few months ago.
Congrats everyone.

nothing in vermont

...shocking isn't it =-p

Is Pomona the very last school to mail out acceptances? Is anyone waiting for any others?

if i were pomona, or any school for that matter, i would randomly send the decisions out over a couple days simply to mess with those of you that are overthinking all of this far too much...heh

I just heard from the only other school I had pending today, so I'm 100% sure the flat package at the office (that I won't be able to see until Monday) is in fact from Pomona!

:D :D :D :D

I got accepted to Pomona!

Who is planning ton goingto the accepted students day thing on April 17th?

I plan to go on April 17th. When do we get to stay overnight, do you know?

waitlisted at vassar and in at Wesleyan too! but something's fishy about vassars letter, did they really only accept 660 from 6100 applications? because that means that their acceptance rate is around 10%

"they really onle accept 660 from 61000 applications"

every college has a stat like that in their rejection letters. its supposed to help ease the pain a lil. 660 is their target class size. they accept more applicants than 660 in order to compensate for students choosing other colleges.

but nevertheless, the comp is wicked strong. gl

as they waitlisted both of us,... i just thought they also made the mistake of forgetting a "1" or a "2" in front... lol

just got my last acceptance letter... in at pomona! and swarthmore, williams, haverford, wesleyan, carleton, reed, grinnell, and oberlin... but i havent gotten many financial aid packages yet, though pomona's was pretty good for a purely need-based package.

hey guys. Yeah Russian I'm going to the April 17th!!! And in terms of overnighters, from what I know, you should email the special "in" email from ur packet and let em know u wanna stay.

going 24th
