Hey guys, here’s my profile:

Subjective:
Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Will probably tank my apps, but here goes…

[] School literary journal 11, 12 (editor-in-chief)
[] Economics Club 9, 10, 11, 12 – guest speakers, economic discussions, field trips to NYSE, etc.
[] Lots of peer tutoring/community service
[] Coding by myself – learned various languages and coded websites and games, but didn’t go to hackathons or anything
[] Regular golf lessons (6 handicap, Junior Club Champ at my golf club). Unfortunately, my school doesn’t have a team
Job/Work Experience: 2 summer internships, 1 at a bank and another at a Fortune 500 company
Volunteer/Community service: 250 hours of tutoring
Summer Activities: Went to Stanford’s Summer Institutes for CS, Princeton’s Philosophy Seminar, interned, taught myself some CS, traveled around Europe.
Essays (rating 1-10, details): 10. Seriously. Writing is what I do best, and literally every friend and teacher I talked to thought my essays were absolutely great. My personal statement, in particular, was incredibly deep and unorthodox. As for the supplements, I wrote incredible Princeton and Brown supplements; the others were pretty good, I guess.
Recommendations (rating 1-10, details):
Teacher Rec #1: English teacher, didn’t see. Did great in his class, but he didn’t know me personally – something that I regret in hindsight. Welp, it’s just not my style.
Teacher Rec #2: Physics teacher, didn’t see. Same blurb as above^
Counselor Rec: Again, didn’t see. I got to know him pretty well though, and he saw lots of my writing and knew what made me tick.
Other:
Applied for Financial Aid?: nah
Intended Major: I put CS, Econ, or Philosophy depending on the school
State (if domestic applicant): NY
Country (if international applicant):
School Type: Selective Private
Ethnicity: Hispanic/Asian/White, dual citizen as well
Gender: XY
Income Bracket: ain’t helpin’ me
Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): URM maybe?
Please chance for the following:
Princeton
Brown
Cornell CAS
Duke CAS
Williams
Notre Dame (Mendoza)
Georgetown CAS
Vanderbilt CAS
For reference, I was rejected by Stanford SCEA. That said, my essays were rushed and I didn’t let them know about my coding projects or work experiences. Also note that my school is very well-connected to Cornell, Williams, and Georgetown, which may give me a boost there.
Thanks in advance. Any other comments on my profile are welcome too. Also, in particular, I’m just wondering if quasi-URM + great stats + great essays is an equation powerful enough to overlook crummy ECs for places like Princeton, Duke, and Brown.
