<p>You have just as good of a shot as the next guy. Probably better, especially if the next guy is me.</p>

<p>Your stats are in line. But your essays will be crucial, as they are for everyone who applies to Amherst. Work on them with everything you have. Since there are no interviews at Amherst, their way of finding out who you are comes through the essays. Good luck! There isno guarantee with any elite school.</p>

<p>No, if that GPA is on a good upward trend senior year, you'll be okay, but that essay is the biggie!</p>

<p>haha dude you got this man.. i hope. i have somewhat of the same stats (interestingly enough, we got the same math and verb score). anyway, if your essays are great, i'd say a pretty good shot.</p>
