RD Class 2013

swymchik16, thanks for the info regarding your daughter’s gap year.

My S is 80% sure he wants to do a gap year as well.
We were advised to get accepted to a college first and then ask for a deferred enrollment.

It’s great to know that your D came “close” and was successful on the reapplication process.
Congratulations and hope she has a great year!

Still no word in France…

My daughter got her letter today! In w/$5k Trustee Community Scholarship plus an amazing grant. She will be so excited to hear the news (she is out of the country working!)

radannie - congrats to your daughter! is pitzer her first choice?

Pretty sure it is but she has received a better FA package from her #3 school. Very difficult to discuss all this w/her being away and she does not return until April12!

I was just admitted, but I won’t be attending. Congratulations to all!

My S was not accepted, but he is fine with it (it was a reach school).
Now he is feeling good and very relaxed about his first choices, U Redlands or Chapman.

Congratulations to you all - see you in sunny southern California!

Waitlisted :-/
I guess this makes my choice between Colorado College and Northwestern a lot easier…

S accepted March 30. He feels good about it. He’s narrowed his final choice down to Pitzer and one other school in the East Coast. Two other schools, really, if he counts my preference in. But he won’t, so… congratulations anyway to all who got in!

Waitlisted, but I guess I’m fine with that. Even though I’m slightly disappointed I won’t be in warm California weather, the choice between Colgate, Macalester & Carleton has been made easier.

245 accepted out of 4079 applicants.
6%

woops. incorrect.
not sure how many were accepted…typically 800
