This may have been asked before, but does anyone know for sure when decisions are mailed out?
Thanks.

"Early April," according to the Duke website. 37 days until April 1. :)

Seems ridiculous that it takes that long. I guess understandable though. I wish they would send me something in the mail. A postcard...letter...anything!

april feels like ages from now x___x

I know...all I want is a damn postcard...anything to let me know the college still exists!

Absolutely right. I resolutely check my mailbox every day only to find empty space inside.

Just seems like courtesy to say "hey thanks for the $70 we're still here and you're still in agony"

It does.
does that help?

Set www.duke.edu as your homepage [I set mine to popup all 6 of my colleges...kidding :]

Notification of acceptance/deferral/rejection is almost always sent out within a couple of April 1.

april 1 is my birthday.....GERRRRRRRRRRRRRR.. what a depressing B-day i am gona have..

u know what
last year 3 people from my school got accepted by duke NO ONE WENT THERE!!!!!!!
they went to Harvard, Princeton and MIT

one of them was notified by Duke on March 1

.......I won't even be in the country during then. Heck, I won't be in the country when ALL of my notifications come in. Imagine coming home to find your mailbox filled with small envelopes whimper.

What's wrong with small evnelopes??? 2 out of the 3 colleges I've gotten into so far have sent their acceptance letters in regular sized 9x4 envelopes.

quick question... I haven't been able to figure this out based on the website for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, so I figured I would ask it here:

Does Duke only send notification through the mail? Or do we receive e-mails as well as normal 'snail mail' notification? Is it at all possible to check the admissions decision online? Thank you!

They mail decisions and post them online. In fact, I believe they post decisions online on the same day that they mail them.

thanks, do you know where I can check them though? or is the web address sent in an email the day the decisions are posted/mailed?

set up an account here (I applied ED, so I can't remember if they send you a screen name and password or what). If it's like it was for ED, decisions will be posted on April 1

Make an account, then on the right hand side you will see a button that says "Have an accesscode?" You should have gotten one in the mail when they recieved the first part of your application.

Last year they said April 1st

Then they moved it to April 2nd.

So don't bank on celebrating (or mourning) too soon.
