RD decision email?

Hi guys, I am an international applicant to Georgetown College.

One of my classmates got an email several days ago which said there would be an email decision notification on March 23rd. Is that true? I thought Georgetown only sent the decision by mails. Also, I'm extremely nervous now because I didn't get that email. Did any one of you receive an email like that? If I didn't get the email, does that mean a lower chance of getting in Georgetown?

Sometimes colleges respond to international applicants in a different way than the rest of applicants. Georgetown might email to internationals so that you get a decision around the same time as we get our mailed decision. I don’t know for sure but I think that’s what they did for EA too…

March 23rd sounds early though

Georgetown mails domestic applicants and has a set time for emailing all of the international applicants. At least that’s what they did EA when I applied. I’m domestic though so this was just what I read on CC. Sorry I don’t know anything about the date. They didn’t release an official date for EA though. Good luck!

all internationals receive emails, but I would have thought that it would be on Apr. 1st. Maybe it’s a sort of likely letter?

little bit late for a likely letter, I think; as MIT releases results on the 14th or thereabouts, the 23rd may be a reasonable release date for Georgetown
back to Tanimal, I’m sure there’s no need to worry- as a fellow international applicant, I haven’t received a G’Town e-mail (at all) nor have fellow applicants from my school (I think). If this e-mail functions as a likely letter, they may be sent out in several waves (from personal experience with other universities) and even then recipients of said letters compose a very small proportion of the admitted class.
