My mom got it yesterday, but she didn't email me because my host family took me to Chile for a bit.

I'm so sorry seole:( This proves that the adcom does make mistakes.
But still hang in there! You never know, maybe they will pull you in from the waitlist:) Hope so.

Bah! No mail on Sunday was the worst idea ever. I don't know how I'm going to make it through school tomorrow... I'm expecting 3 letters tomorrow.

Lazy mail people. Can't they just work one Sunday a year? One Sunday that is it. Is that too much to ask?

I know! I'd even tip my mailman if he came with my letters today.

Does USPS still... transport mail, even if they don't deliver it on Sundays? The letter could gain a lotta distance in the one day!

one can only hope.

this is why we need station-to-station transporters.
like in star trek.
yes i am a trekkie.
what of it? 0=]

there are worse things to be. my school had 3-hour delays last week... and yet my brother got up at normal time... to play computer games with his friends.

Personally, I believe it'd be much easier if mailpeople worked on Sundays. There are always people looking for jobs and there's a quick way to create them.

I'm a proud Quiz Bowl kid. :-) (Think Jeopardy!, but with harder questions and on a team.)

That sounds hard. AKA... I'm horrible at games with questions. You should see me play Trivial Pursuit... I get dumber every round. It's awful.

Oh, it's so much fun. And so nerdy. I'm not planning to do College Bowl stuff wherever I go because I wouldn't ever be able to keep up, but it's fun at this level. The questions get harder as the game goes on, so I make a point of not playing the final quarter if I can help it. :-)

haha, good strategy

OH! By the way, I LOVE your name. Ooohshinyobject...hahaha.

can i just say that the people on the vassar things [the CC forum, myspace even though i don't have one, LJ] are my favorite?

yeah well i just did. ♥

I've never done quizbowl (I'm a debate/drama kid, instead), but I'm a huge fan of Trivial Pursuit. Balderdash definitely takes the cake in terms of board games though.

tornadoofsnow: thank you! I have a very short attention span and I'm perpetually amused by anything shiny.
stuckinthemist: Even online, Vassar people are nice. That speaks to how they must be in real life.
strawberryfields: what kind of debate? I have three good friends involved in LD. (And even without being a real drama kid, I still seem to have perpetually sold my soul to the theatre department.)

haha, ooohshinyobject you're so right.
and strawberryfields, i'm a drama kid myself, and a bunch of my friends are in speech and debate.

i'm glad we all share interests =]

I do drama! I'm co-president of this drama club at my school... but we haven't actually done anything for 2 years. So I guess that doesn't really count. At all. Haha.

I'm a drama kid too, even though I'm not in. Vassar's program is supposed to be great!
