Essays: I loved my common app essay, but it wasn't very original (about my middle school English teacher) and had a typo I'm still kicking myself about. Why Swat was the easiest essay I've ever written--pretty simplistic, though--I basically recounted my visit there and listed off the many, many things I like about the school.
Teacher Recs: Excellent
Counselor Rec: Very positive, and also very obviously the same formula letter they write for everyone.
Hook (if any): Awesome interview with a very friendly alumnus.
State or Country: NV
School Type: Public
Ethnicity: White
Gender: F
Major strength/weakness: High stats, but no community service (I spend all my time on theater).
Why you think you were accepted: From an underrepresented state and a recipient of the blessing of the invisible pink unicorn.</p>

<p>Of course, being ranked 1st out of 500 and having straight 800s across the board probably didn't hurt, either.</p>
