RD Decisions?

Son waitlisted
2040 SAT
98 GPA

Of all the campuses we visited this was our favorite. However, son already decided on Villanova business school after being accepted last week. Congratulations to all.

Also, the UR wait list letter was the nicest we received; it seemed like it was personalized just for us, although of course it wasn’t. If UR is competitive now, I imagine it will only get better over the coming years.

Son was waitlisted. No tears here. He’ll be going to Wake Forest.

(In case anyone is wondering how he knows…Wake asked him to switch his app to ED in Feb. He was accepted on Feb 27 and submitted app withdraws to Gettysburg, U of Richmond and Lafayette in early March. So far Gburg and Richmond seem to have overlooked the WDs.)

Son would have loved to have attended UR and was a semifinalist for the Richmond Scholars but didn’t receive a thing. The want us to pay full tuition, so unfortunately he won’t be attending as he has received money from other schools. We will mail our letter to decline so someone who is waitlisted can have his spot. Best of luck… :)

ACCEPTED with a $30,080 University Grant.

I’ve applied to 9 schools and that makes the 8th acceptance (UT Austin, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, SMU, TCU, CU Boulder, IU Bloomington, and now University or Richmond). Waiting to hear back from William and Mary (my #1) and receive financial aid information from everywhere I’ve been accepted before I make a decision.

i was happy to get in but i still have to make my decision because i got into university of michigan and lehigh

JMannequin, good job on getting into 8 of your 9 schools! I’m in the same boat as you in that I still waiting for my top schools (Duke, Dartmout, and Brown). But an Emory, UVA, Wake Forest, and now University of Richmond acceptance makes me feel a little less worried!

Accepted
32 ACT / 3.7/4.4 U/WGPA
Does not rank; ~top 8%

Did everyone get the “we will pay up to $250 to have you visit in April” letter inside the packet?

international
waitlisted (most likely due to financial aid)

SAT 1990

eagle2010, I got that to (we will pay up to $250…). That’s awesome that they are doing that, but I live an hour and a half away, so that’s not an issue! Also, I have prom and a track meet on the 17th of April, so I def. can’t go to the accepted students day.

waitlisted! Might this have something to do w my sis turning their extremely generous richmond scholar aid down for Brown Univ? I dunno. But, I’m not angry, just a little frazzled. I’ll accept the waitlist, bc I’ve already been rejected to smith, and accepted at MHC. Three school left, 2 of which are reaches, so I don’t want to get my hopes up. Congrats to all!

We live in CA–wish we had received that $250 invitation to see the campus! Was it included in the acceptance letter, or mentioned elsewhere?

Waitlisted.

3.83 weighted
1920 SAT (620, 680, 620)
700 Bio, 640 Math II
Very strong EC’s,
Solid Recs,
Good essays

so is getting of the waitlist available for those who does not need fin aid?

@fromrussia: I didn’t get a reply from them yet, so I still can’t tell. Will you be asking them?

accepted. they were quite generous.

Did anybody get rejected? It sounds like they’ve waitlisted more people than typically.

Did all int’l get an e-mail ? I’ve received nothing yet. I am afraid that they will send rejections next week…

The $250 “travel grant” was sealed in an addressed envelope but inside the acceptance package (?? didnt get why it was that way)

Based on the numbers they’ve given this year and what they’ve done in the past, close to half of applicants did get rejections, but are much less likely to post as they don’t really care about the college so much once they know it’s not an option- so much less likely to post.
