@poetblackcat13 I’m from Europe and I really don’t know of anyone else that even applied to USC lol… I’m a US citizen but pretty much everyone I know have no intention of even applying to America in general
If I had called DHL and they told me that there was another package coming to my country but it wasn’t for me, I probably would have had a fit…

On a more general note to everyone, I read on this forum that usconnect is supposed to change tomorrow… Do you suppose it’ll even change for us and others who haven’t heard yet?

i have this status again on usconnect = The University of Southern California is pleased to offer the ability of students to receive online messages regarding the status of their application. However, all decision notifications are made via postal mail.

We have received your Common Application and USC Supplement, and it appears we require no additional information at this time. We will be reviewing applications through the month of March, and we expect to be able to meet our commitment to notify freshmen by April 1st. We often like to see the mid-year grades of freshman applicants. If you have not already done so, please submit your final, fall term marks when they become available. Submit a Mid Year Report school form, or click “Mid-Year Grades” in USConnect. Sometimes, in the course of our review of applications, we find that we need additional information. In such cases we will mail a written request. If you receive a request for more information, please respond promptly.

The committee has acted on your application, and we have mailed notice of the decision. If for some reason you do not receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results of this over the phone beginning April 3rd."

I don’t know what it indicates, but I guess we’ll see in time!

I’m really hoping that this status change is an indication that we got in or something. Probably not a huge chance of me being right, but what’s the harm of simply hoping eh? :P

A day before mailing day, the director of admission said on Twitter that there was still some applications to read. I found that odd as I always assumed the day before mailing day, they would be preparing the envelopes and everything or would be finished with the applications.

Considering our status changed just an hour ago (around 11-12 PM LA Time) which is USC office hours, I am going to assume they just finished deciding on our applications.

That means the mail for us, whether it’s DHL or not, is being sent today.

I got the new status as well and USC2016 is probably right. I wouldn’t get your hopes up just because it changed to something new… although it’s hard not to.

wait so if your status just changed to “committee acted upon…” today, then that means they just sent out their decision today?
i thought all decisions were sent out on tuesday

USC2016 The same status change for my son’s application as yours. Checked with DHL and still no packet. However will check tomorrow morning once again. My son has got into University of California San Diego.

I was just looking at some stats, there are around 3200 NEW International students every year, out of which India is the 2nd largest (1st is China), approx.500 to 650 Indians every year. That is quite a few DHL couriers to send, and i guess that it will take a few days.

Yeah and assuming the application was just decided on a few hours ago, it’ll take a few days by time it will be registered into DHL.

Well he said they can email international students the results of admission (presumably if they request it) - I just sent him a tweet asking how can we request an email.
