same with icegatorade,god bless us!

I really want to call DHL… But for some reason I just can’t bring myself to do it… I guess I’m not quite ready to lose all hope…

Tell me about it. I can’t bring myself to call DHL either.
Sigh.
Shivankar7- Am from India and I have nothing yet.

@poetblackcat13 I guess the sensible thing to do would be to call, instead of continuing this agonizing wait… But at the same time I don’t want my spirits to be crushed over the phone, by a random DHL person no less…

I wish USC let people know their decisions online…

I know. I even went on the DHL site to find the local contact number and then just shut it down again.

I don’t understand why USC doesn’t let people know online! I suppose they have a damn good reason, but honestly- it’s mind numbingly painful. I suppose I still have hope coz no one from my country seems to have heard. What about you? Where are you from? Anyone from heard from DHL or USC from there? :)

Called DHL, they didn’t have a package for me.

Huge let down too, I am a U.S. Citizen living abroad, all the way to Bahrain which is a pretty small island.

When I called DHL they said “From March 26, to present - we have one package from Los Angeles, the sender is USC…” my hopes started to rise, until they read the receiver name.

I’d like to think mine hasn’t been sent out yet or something, I’ll know by April 3rd for sure.

vinayisgod,
The rumor has been broken. Someone was accepted with the status "The committee has acted on your application, and we have mailed notice of the decision. If for some reason you do not receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results of this over the phone beginning April 3rd.Sorry if it worried you.

I have this in my admissions status page:

"The University of Southern California is pleased to offer the ability of students to receive online messages regarding the status of their application. However, all decision notifications are made via postal mail.

Status not available"

Does anyone have an idea what this means?

I called DHL and they said that they can’t track packages that are coming from abroad if they don’t have the tracking number… I’m planning on calling them later on, maybe if I talk to another person he/she can tell me whether I have a package on the way or not…

Shivankar7 - Nope, 13 people applied from my school (including me) and not one of us have received anything. Since it takes 5-7 days for any packages to make it’s way here, I think it should reach us on either Friday or Saturday.

nnmmb119 - Thank you for clarifying mate, really appreciate it. Guess there’s no real way to tell. We just have to keep our fingers crossed and wait for the letter to show up!

Well Im a parent living in New Delhi. I just spoke with the DHL people and they were very helpful. Unfortunately my son does not have a packet coming his way, and his status is showing “Status not available”.

However he did mention an interesting thing which would be applicable to other countries. Some shipments were sent to india on the 27th, but a lot more were despatched on the 28th, and he was telling me not to lose hope as they may have some despatches today. However I am no longer very hopeful !!!

I wish everyone else the best of luck !!!

mshergill - you just gave all the Indian applicants a lot of hope, so thanks for that! Any ideas on when they’ll be reaching various areas of India?

Vinay, I did not ask them but call them up on their Help Line number.( 1800 111 345 or 1800 200 1345). All the best cheers Manek

Mshergill - why are you losing hope if they are still posting shipments on 28th and 29th … it could be on its way for you son too !

^^Very valid statement Tiger24. Don’t lose hope mshergill, there’s still time!

Vinay and mshergill - which schools have you applied to ?

I’ve applied to USC, UMich, NYU, Emory and UMass. Got deferred from Michigan, wait-listed at Emory and accepted at UMass. USC’s my first choice and I’m hoping to get in. What about you tiger24?

I really want to call up the DHL people but I just can’t get myself to.

My friend called Dhl and found out that there were two packages sent to our zip code by USC on the 27th. But none of us is one of them… Is it possible that they are still scanning?

It’s possible icegatorade. From what a read a couple of posts ago, in India they started scanning on the 28th and they’re still continuing the scanning process. Don’t know how many there are cause I haven’t called them (and I don’t want to either), but just know that it’s still possible that they’re scanning.

I haven’t called either… I’m hoping you’re right though… It is definitely possible that there are more packages being scanned and if they don’t have one for you, perhaps that doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t eventually… Last year, the whole email system was much more consistent, still people were getting emails over a number of days which definitely means packages were still being scanned after the initial posted day.
