Am I the only one that is getting stressed out thinking of college decisions as this last month of waiting begins. I'm waiting on 6 decisions personally and every time someone asks me about college or I start to think about it I get a headache. How do I get it to go away!?

Go have a beer. :)

Pretend you've already been accepted. It worked for me with ED...got so overconfident I didn't even worry anymore.

Of course, that might make a rejection suck a lot more.

It didnt work for me - I was so sure that I will get into Olin and I got rejected :D But well - it wasnt my first choice so thats ok:P

i agree with krk that this is nerve-racking, but i agree with nicky jane more...i need a beer

post stats krk and the schools you applied to, maybe people can give you some chances
and you are not the only one, i am also very stressed

I'm totally seconding the beer thing. Take and shot or two and while you are enjoying some drunken euphoria, remember there is alcohol at every college. (Just in case of rejection.)

In all seriousness, I just braced myself for the worst, and decided that some divine power would put me where I belonged for college. Good luck, guys!

Past two summers:
European Art History class and trip with school, year before last
Stanford University Summer College, last year

Waiting on letters from:
Cornell
Stanford
Harvard
Penn
Northwestern
Duke

i can tell you for 100 % ( willing to bet money ) uou will get into atleast 2 - 3of the above colleges.

I second that assessment nomad. Northwestern and Cornell are pretty much in the bag. Penn and Duke, I give a 50% chance of getting into one of the two. Stanford and Harvard pretty unlikely.

and i am also counting on the fact that you applied to other safety schools :)

Yeah what Dadaist2 said...except i think Harvard and Stanford are possible as well

so, krk, what's your first choice?

"I second that assessment nomad. Northwestern and Cornell are pretty much in the bag. Penn and Duke, I give a 50% chance of getting into one of the two. Stanford and Harvard pretty unlikely."

Yikes....you must not know the state of college admissions nowadays! Cornell had a 16-18% jump in apps this year....the only way for it to be in the bag is if you have a 1500+, 3.9+ UW with some great ECs. At that point, Stanford/Harvard are very well in reach also! I'd she scared crapless if I didn't have at least those stats...this year is going to be killer.

lol im waiting for 13 decisions!!
and id say its a lot easier than waiting for like 2 or 3.

wait until grad school admissions. they don't even tell you when they're sending back decisions ;)

My first choice is Stanford.

Applied early but got deferred :(

I posted in the Cornell forum because it is pretty active.

cool, I was jw
good luck, I think you'll get Penn, Cornell, NW...Harvard and Stanford, you can never tell, but you have a really good chance at both

I'd she scared crapless if I didn't have at least those stats...this year is going to be killer.

Hmm...I think I'm scared crapless.
