Naturally the e-mail came as soon as I said I didn't have one.

I'm guessing that no email by now (after the close of Reed's Admission Office) means no email today.

Accepted! Through email!

weird, my friend got an email and I didn't, but she was rejected.

got an email around 8 pm
waitlisted

waitlisted!

again..

haha:]

oh nevermind I just got the email, I got in! wooo!

I lold at the video

DENIED.

this doesnt make any sense....

really

Wooo! Accepted as well!

And Reed's not exactly my first choice (tied for first), but that video just might push it into the lead. Clearly the admissions people know their audience...

S got e-mail- accepted.

ACCEPTED!!!:):):) (email came at about 9:10pm ~eastern time~)

Out of curiosity, what do the waitlist/rejection letters say?

I got waitlisted... here's what my letter said:

"Dear Miranda,

We thank you for giving us the opportunity to review your application. The size and strength of this year's applicant pool made the admission committee's deliberations challenging. At this time we have decided to offer you a place on our waiting list.

Please send an email to admission@reed.edu by April 15 to let us know whether or not you want to remain on the waiting list. Candidates on the waiting list will be reevaluated if spaces become available. Please see the attached "Frequently Asked Questions" for more detailed information about Reed's waiting list.

If you have applied for financial aid, you should be aware financial aid may not be available for students admitted from the waiting list. After the candidates' reply date, we will have a clearer sense of admission and financial aid opportunities for wait-listed students.

We will be communicating with you about your application and would appreciate being informed of any change in your address. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to write or call.

Sincerely,

Paul Marthers
Dean of Admission
Reed College"

I only cried a little bit... there's still hope for me I guess, but I really REALLY need financial aid. :( I'm poor.

Mirry, I say just let go.

Reed didn't want you, so why should you go back on your hands and knees, begging to be accepted into a school that didn't think you were good enough in the first place?

There is endless opportunity out in this world; all roads do NOT feed directly out of Reed.

You will find that school that is right for you! I say leave Reed in the DUST!

wait listed, does anyone know how many people are accepted off of the wait list? uggghhh

Accepted whoohoo!

Scores for anyone who cares:
32 ACT
3.7 GPA

I think it was my essays which were killer and got me in and I think also my singing abilities couldn't hurt. Although I didn't do an interview or even visit. This took the sting out of getting waitlisted by Northwestern. ;]

Oh man, I got waitlisted. I don't really understand why they only give us until 4/15 to decide...but...ah well. I'm probably not going to take that offer.

Got accepted to UC Berkeley today, so...wow. I got this e-mail around the same time as I found out Cal's decision, but I didn't think I'd get any more decisions today.

Congrats to everyone who was accepted!

After being rejected by Bard I really wasn't exepcting this, but... I'm in! :D

Curious ... for the folks who got the phone call and were "special circumstances" do you have unusual hooks, fantastic grades/EC, are you applying for financial aid?

My DD did get in and is a bit surprised ... she had just been rejected from Berkeley ... but did not receive the phone call.

Accepted!
