RD Stats!

I got in! I also got the nicest letter attesting to my personal attributes that made them accept me, and how much they wished I'd really go. If interested, my stats are:

Decision: accepted
GPA: 3.67 UW, 4.1 W
SAT scores: 2130
High School: pretty competitive public high school
Extracurriculars: Over a thousand volunteer hours with many other kids around my community and Los Angeles, like at summer camps and mentoring disadvantaged youth. It really is my passion, and I wrote my essays about it. I've also done a lot of clubs, and I've taken advantage of a lot of leadership opportunities, like MUN, Girls State and Youth and Government. I wanted to learn how to be a leader for the little girls I mentored after school.
Recommendations: Great (and I had an extra from my former boss in the YMCA where I volunteered)
Counselor recommendations: Great
Strengths/weaknesses: Bad in math, but strong in writing. I also had an interview and really connected with my interviewer.

But seriously, guys, the personal note was amazing. I'm now looking at Scripps sweatshirts online.
I'm so flighty. I think I change my mind with each letter.

Do you live in CA? I'm just wondering if the letters were mailed Friday and CA people received today, meaning OOS will receive Monday? Also--were you a scholarship candidate, and if so, did you get it? Where else did you apply?

BTW--Congrats! You're on your way . . . somewhere!!

All letters were mailed on Friday morning. Scholarship decisions are included in the acceptance letter/financial aid award.

I was a scholarship candidate, but I was informed back in January that I wasn't a finalist for the JES one. I didn't get one, but they gave me 20K in financial aid. And I live 45 minutes from Claremont, thus accounting for me receiving it early. :)

aaahhh. I want in to Scripps too, even though I'm a Bryn Mawrian at heart.

Decision: accepted
GPA: 3.67 UW, 4.4 W
SAT scores: 2150
High School: pretty competitive public high school in So Cal
Extracurriculars: lots of MUN, lots of Newspaper
Recommendations: Great
Counselor recommendations: Great
Strengths/weaknesses: Bad in math/science, but good in history/english...

I applied ED II and got deferred. I still haven't heard about RD. I am dying!

Decision: accepted
GPA: 3.3 UW
SAT scores: 2100
High School: small private school
Extracurriculars: City at Peace (a youth group that promotes cross cultural understanding and non violent conflict resolution through original theater and music), Editor of the school literary magazine, Peer Counseling, Leadership, Varsity Yoga
Recommendations: Great
Counselor recommendations: outstanding (my couselor and I are buddies and he lets me nap in his office...i am one of his favorites)
Strengths/weaknesses: strong commitment to social diversity, excellent interview/low grades

I got in! Here in Seattle.

I was accepted today in central CA!

I live in TX, so I hope I get my decision tomorrow! I'm absolutely terrified.

Accepted today in VA with JE Scripps Scholarship. Has anyone heard about the full ride--New Generation Scholarship?

Decision: accepted!!! any fellow psych majors out there?
GPA: 4.4 W
SAT scores: 2240
High School: public high school
Extracurriculars: drill team, band, NHS, girl scouts, tutoring
Counselor recommendations: good i suppose...
Strengths/weaknesses: not-so-stellar essays, no interview, but very stong transcript (lots of AP's, top 1% of school)

Accepted :D

GPA: ~3.7 UW, ~4.0 W (with first semester senior year)
SAT: 2310

Not too great class rank, a lot of ECs, decent essays...

The financial aid's not enough for it to be a viable option, though, but it's kinda my fault for not being informed enough to apply early to be in scholarship consideration.

D is waitlisted.
GPA: 3.28 uw, 3.51 w
SAT: 1930

I got in too :) shanabelle! :)

I also got into Mount Holyoke the other day.

My daughter heard today in Massachusetts. She was accepted.

GPA: 3.56 uw
SAT: 2060
SAT IIs: math 2-800, math 1-760, chem-720
not a super class rank, tons of ECs, and iffy essays
pretty good finaid though, although I'm leaning a little more toward HMC than Scripps, since I'm doing engineering. (so I'll still be in the town as y'all, just right across the street at the predominantly male school ;))
