<p>You are missing a key point. In order to get a Visa to study in the US you have to show you have the money IN HAND to pay for all 4 years. This includes living expenses and travel. If you don’t show this and have documentation you won’t get the Visa.</p>
<p>OP…your income verification for a visa CAN include firm financial aid awards and approved loans. SO…look for schools where you might receive merit aid.</p>
<p>Also, remember that your family income/assets for financial aid purposes will need to be reported to the colleges in U.S. dollars…for the purposes of getting need based awards where they are offered to international students.</p>
