RE: R-Day For Parents of WP Class of 2011

If you'll be at R-Day please stop by the Illinois Parents' Club booth after your 90 second good-bye. I'll have plenty of tissue for all of you and look forward to meeting you.

Where will the booth be? I look forward to meeting you and again thank you for all your help.

Kate

Ditto the Georgia Parents Club table. With a firstie and an incoming candidate I will be both passing out and using the tissues! The tables are located in Eisenhower Hall, and you will be directed to them after you say your 90 second goodbye...

Hey!! Momoftwins--- I'm going to be a "new cadet" from central IL. My parents recently joined the USMA Illinois Parents Club as well. What part of IL are you from?

where will the tissues for new cadets be?

NJNetsFan,

Our club is basically northern Illinois, but we'll be happy to provide tissue to any Illinois parents (or cc parents ;)).

Harri,

New Cadets get to do pushups if they cry, so no tissue. :D But I'll have some for your folks.

Kate,

I'm also looking forward to meeting you - finally! :) :) Right after you say your good-byes  and exit the auditoreum, you'll notice the convention-type booths. There will be lots of opportunity to buy West Point "stuff" in order to cheer up the crying moms.

NJNetsFan:

My daughter is also from Central Illinois. Even though MOT has helped me answer a ot of questions, and lent her expertise on many occassions, we did join the St. Louis WPPC. (Simple geography, but we may still join the Chicago one as well.) Wish I has known a couple of days sooner; last Sunday the St. Louis club had their "Hail and Farewell" luncheon and it was fun and informative. A gal from our area that we knew from a club several years ago just finished her Plebe year, so the two girls had the chance to re-visit old times and a lot of questions were asked and answered.

If you're interested in sending us a PM, feel free. We may be located closer than we know.
