I have been admitted to UCR as a transfer student, but few days ago my application has been cancelled because I messed up the deadline month, so I'm trying to write an appeal letter. I have no idea how to write it, but if i explained them would they understand and accept me back? deadline was July 15th, and I already called and they told me to write an appeal.

I’m in a similar situation as you are. Except my situation was about not passing a required course. It is good to write an appeal letter because there may or may not be a guarantee that you will gain your admissions back. When my admissions was cancelled, the admissions officer on the phone told me to write a formal appeal letter, no more than a page, and providing provable evidence about why you believe that you should be admitted again. I was told that it is best to send the appeal through e-mail, because it is the quickest method to get a response back. Unfortunately, I sent mine on August 9th and I am still waiting for their response to this day. Anyways though, good luck on writing your appeal and hopefully, you will gain back your admissions! :)

oh wow thank you!! I hope you get admitted back too! I’m struggling on writing my appeal letter to sound that i appreciate their choice and im at fault but not a failure! but its hard >_<;; to mess up on months…

application cancelled to ucr?? the future looks grim …

@xsarax,

Any news yet from UCR? Apparently, I didn’t get any response from them yet after I sent my appeal back in August 9th. :(

@samsizzle

Yes the future looks grim, because people like you can only see an inch in front of their noses.

@friskana,
Yes! I got it today! I just got a call from them today by phone! How about you?
I sent the appeal letter on September 3rd haha…
So I think you just missed their call or something, so you should probably contact them. =/
