REA AP U.S. HISTORY & REA SAT II U.S. HISTORY -- difference?

I just got the REA SAT II U.s. history prep book. I went online and looked at the AP u.s. rea book and the table of contents is exactly the same, except I think there might be 270 pages in the ap book, but only 242 in the sat one (this ONLY includes the review). Could this be because the AP book was released in 2003, and the SAT book in 2005 and that they condensed some info they thought didn't matter? Does anyone know the difference (other than the practice tests are obviously different)?

BUMP (10 character rule)

I'm sure SOMEONE has looked at both to notice differences. I live in an extremely rural area and the nearest barnes and noble is over a 100 miles away. Any help would be appreciated. I have the SAT II U.S. REA book, so if you have the U.S. history ap rea guide, we could easily compare. I'm on AIM.

i'm not sure... i had the rea ap book and i thought it was good, but alot of reading and it was organized in a kind of confusing way... and there was no list of terms. i would guess that the ap one goes into a little bit more depth... i took both the sat and ap at the same time after studying w/ the ap one, so i think i was ok with just one.

What did you score? Thanks for your help.

i got a 4 on the ap and 720 on the sat... soo mediocre but we don't have ap classes at my school so i had to do alot of review on my own (we had gotten to like the 60s in my us history class)

I'm not familiar with the REA books, but I do know that the AP and the SATII test you on different things. If you're taking both, get both books.
