I'll take a look

I think the premise of the essay and the ideas behind it are first rate, but the mechanical and grammatical structure could use some work; however, as the essay makes abundantly clear, you are not a native english speaker, and thus, cannot be expected to have mastered all of the language's conventions. Overall, my guess would be that this essay will have a neutral to slightly positive impact on your application. What do you other readers think?

Great initiative paungle. I might also add that I havent sent this essay in yet as I'm applying for the class of 2011 and thus this is only a "first draft". Weird syntaxes and other grammatical errors will be reviewed together with my english teacher so I'll fine polish it later on.

I'll read it.

I'd like to read it as well

I'd also like to read it.

pm me.....................................

pm me too.. I'm interested :)

This is pathetic - you guys expect to get into Harvard yet you have nothing better to do with your time than read the essay of some random kid you've never met so you can see how it stacks up to yours? Pathetic. I just discovered this whole site today when I was looking for stuff about the duke lax scandal and I'm shocked at how many people are willing to go online and talk for hours about their SAT scores and brag to each other about how many activities they got to write about in their applications. Get a life - it would increase your chances of getting into Harvard!

fine, dont use the site

maybe you can't comprehend the idea that just maybe some of us are reading the essays out of the fact that the OP requested it, and that we are doing it for nothing more than just to be nice? I mean, personally, my college choice is pretty much set and i can tell you it probably won't be harvard, but I like to read essays all the same because of the caliber of some of the people who frequent CC.
or maybe you can't comprehend the idea that reading and critiquing other people's essays is a way to improve your own writing irregardless of what the purpose is?
If your idea of getting a life is to make assumptions about people YOU've never met either, then maybe I'm happy doing what i'm doing.

Criticizing someone else online to get a life? That's awfully contradictory of you.

PM ME, Ill definitely read and make comments
