I have this essay for NYU and Columbia, and it is a rather unconventional topic. I gave it to some people and i get mixed opinions. People like it, but they say it is too risky.
Not risky as in there is cursing or a touchy subject, but risky as in a rant/complaining essay.

But it has humor and is witty and personally i like it but I dont want the admissions officers to be annoyed.

so i need some real opinions...to send or not to send.
I have other essays but they are...in my opinion, typical (one is about my passion for photography, the other is about how i learned to solve difficult problems because of what i learned in physics, the other essay is about how i love facts and i love creative ideas but i thought i had to devote myself to one side in college and the essay describes how i came to love both sides and then how i realized one world (creative world vs science world) did not interfere with the other)

mainly it is between the last one i talked about and this risky essay. but i thinky risky is better...but its risky so...lol

anyone want to skim and tell me their initial reaction?
