Any one (no 09'ers) want to read my MIT essay and give me feedback? I'm doing this to get a feel for how it would impress someone who doesn't know me at all

Thanks

Thanks

ill take a read.

Sorry, i'd prefer no 09'ers.

PM me and I'll give you a detailed critique, but you'll have to do the same for me. (My essay is 700 words and I'm reusing one from the Common App, but I need help cutting it down to 500.) Because of my critique, I like to communicate via e-mail because I can attach your essay comments as a Word document so that I can directly mark on your essay what I liked and what I didn't like.

Note: When you PM me, if you plan on communicating via e-mail, include your e-mail address with your essay, so when I'm done I can send your critique directly to your inbox.

Also, you won't be getting alot of help if you don't let '09ers read your essay, because (1) not many college grads have that much time to venture on this site, (2) parents could care less about other kids they don't know, and (3) pretty much only '09ers and '10ers are on CC because they're the ones worried about getting into the college of their choice.

--> Also if you're worried about people copying your essay, based on personal experience as a essay reader, it's very hard to copy ideas, because if you haven't personally experienced something, it's hard to be personal about it and admission officers can tell.

me .

Thanks guys

Sure, I'd love to read it... and if you’re worried about people stealing your essay feel free to email me at my school account... but I'd prefer a pm
