Reading Section September ACT

where there a lot of questions in the last passage about lions with the answers as ‘C’???

what was so hard about the first passage? what were the hard questions?

Okay bout the Dominican Republic writing thing.
for the “years of self creation” did you put it was because of her unstable life or something like that.

i did shortnsweet3030

i concur with smarty

I FOUND THE LION PASSAGE!!! Anyone remember the questions?

[p120-127_Gladwell Malls Fact.ps](http://74.125.93.132/search?q=cache:qOQ98RSs4JoJ:www.gladwell.com/pdf/malls.pdf+gruen+malls+southdale+north+one+hundred+disillusioned&cd=4&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a)

me too! okay so i remember having to guess about this one… was there an answer that said like arnold something about his self image…?

also, what was the significance of “aout there” was he trying to imagine something?

lastly… for science passage, there was one question that was like “probably” means it was rarely related to color and length or deviates from length…which one did u put? i said deviates from length only…

With the whole ‘aout there’ thing, I thought he was trying to imagine the place his brother went.

Whoever picked that story needs to be fired…it was a bit too hard to understand at first. All of them except the last one were hard to understand…

yeah for the lion one, i said deviated by length only.

The link is to the Mall Passage not Lion btw…

“aaout there” was definitely about trying to imagine what whats-his-face had experienced. The rest of that sentence clarified it pretty well.

I also agree with smarty about that question.

There was one lion question which asked whether the hormone part supported lines 7-9 or something?

I butchered the first passage(so don’t take this as a key) but here are my Q&A’s

What country not live in? America
How does he describe the two brothers? virtually the same
20 foot steel building? Part of his imagination
Aauoot here? Making fun of arnold
What didn’t he want to do? Run a tram
What was arnold like? distant (answer h?)
Why does he interrupt himself? he feels childish?

Passage about mall
Irony - 10,000 parking spaces
2nd ironic/odd part - he made vienna like america
He was a visionary?
He was also later in life disgusted/dissapointed
Greedy people ****ed him off.

Passage about writer

 • They didn’t recognize her until she was well-published
 • between relieved, gratified (and two other answers)… I put something that was NOT relieved or gratified. Someone fill me in? Something along the lines of… it was not clear that her cousins sucked at writing.
 • America was a completely different place.

lion - didn’t have too much trouble that i remember

Will continue to edit this as i remember

charle brown - i said the hormone did not have an effect, it was either that or it weakened i think

i said hormones weakened it…random guess

i said it was ignored for the hormone questions. for what was arnold like, i remember in the passage they said that the rest of the family was dreamy and distant… so its def not distant. i remember being stuck between small and intelligent and another choice, but i ended up choosing the other choice. auout there was not making fun of his accent…it was the imagining thing.

for the author one she was def gratified and relieved so i put about her cousins or sisters and writing something…

“What country not live in? America

20 foot steel building? Part of his imagination
Aauoot here? Making fun of arnold
What didn’t he want to do? Run a tram
What was arnold like? distant (answer h?)
Why does he interrupt himself? he feels childish?”

hahahha i had like different answers for half of these questions

“What was arnold like?” are you sure its distant?

Also, what was the first question (the one about the narrator)?

Hormones strengthened the argument - the main thing about the passage is that there are BALD lions practically, and hormones can cause it…

Well it said very clearly arnold was distant. The alternative were like “he’s meaner” or something like that…

That said, I’m not going to pretend to be a guru. I have good memory but occasionally bad interpretation.

ooh i do remember putting childish for something…not sure if it was right or not tho.

also agree with run a tram.
