<p>they have a few billion in development underway in Dallas. Dallas went through a lot of problems in the eighties which made a lot of investors to step out, if it went the other way, the skyline would be a lot more impressive. Why, i dont remember, but there is a large market over there, much of it i find unattractive, but that is just my opinion and the fact that i dislike downtown dallas, its so dead, even on weekdays becuase of all the underground walk ways etc</p>

<p>You better be flexible. I was working in Austin when the depression hit in the 80's. It was not a fun time in RE and I moved on to Chicago. It did come back eventually but many people I knew were broke before then.</p>

<p>UGA has a top three real-estate program mainly because of the construction and selling boom in Atlanta. Not only would you have a superb education in the subject, but you could easily get a job just a few miles down I-20.</p>
