You’ll get in at all the universities that you listed (except for Berkeley and Carnegie Mellon. I give you an 80% shot and 60% shot, respectively).

That is a lot better than I had expected! Thank you!

My kid is at UW – apply before the first deadline (Nov 1 or thereabouts) and you may have high enough stats to get an acceptance early in the season. High stats kids, even OOS, tend to get in during the first admission cycle at UW, while the good but not off the top tend to get postponed, especially OOS. You just may be high enough to get in by the first admission notification date and have a (in my opinion) terrific school in the bag.

Are you speaking of University of Wisconsin or University of Washington? I had considered both actually.

Are you engineering or science kid? Or Arts and Letters type? Because both Illinois and MN have admission into specific colleges. An advantage of early application to Illinois is that there is a specific notification date for all applications completed by a certain date in the fall. Another terrific school you could get accepted to and relieve some of the pressure. But, a warning, Engineering and Science apps at Illinois and even MN are tougher than Arts and Letters type apple.

I am definitely seeking engineering, I am a little new to how this all works though, I was recently informed that engineering and science are more difficult as far as getting accepted. I have been working on as much as I can for my applications, and I am currently planning college visits.
